ぼくは日本語を話せます。すごいね!Speaking in another language seems to create this strange instantaneous intangible bond. While others look on in awkward bewilderment you can converse at length in what, to anyone around you, is just a babble of incomprehensible sounds. The feeling is indescribable. When you truly master a foreign language the sense of achievement at engaging in a full conversation highly fulfilling. The boundaries of your mind are opened to a whole new world. すごいです。

Lately I've been obsessing over it in my lucid state and I've come to wonder what started this strange prediction. Did my waking fears effect my dreams or my dreams create my waking fears? What came first, the chicken or the egg...

I'm watching The Amazing Spiderman for the first time, I know how can I not have already seen it, and marvelling at how cool Andrew Garfield is. Love the Social Network, great movie. But I couldn't help but notice the fact that his father is called Richard Parker... Life of Pi just springs to mind. Richard Parker, the majestic tiger... The cinematography from that movie is stunning. The swimming pool, the sinking ship, the phosphorescence, the animals great and small. Just don't look too closely at Richard Parker's whiskers. Is that the reason I love that film? Or is it the other reason...
